YouTube Video Script
Write a YouTube video script with a cold open, open loops, and pattern interrupts: structured around why viewers actually keep watching.
Write a YouTube script for a [LENGTH, e.g. 8-10 minute] video.
Topic: [WHAT THE VIDEO IS ABOUT]
Viewer: [WHO WATCHES MY CHANNEL AND WHY]
The payoff, what the viewer can do/knows by the end: [THE PROMISE]
My angle or experience nobody else has: [YOUR EDGE: a result, a test you ran, access, a contrarian take]
Structure:
1. **Cold open (0-15s)**: start mid-value, not with a greeting. Show or state the end result first, then the one-line promise of how we get there. No "hey guys, welcome back", no channel intro.
2. **Stakes (15-45s)**: why this matters to THIS viewer now, plus one open loop: tease something specific coming later ("the third mistake is the one that cost me $4,000").
3. **Body (3-5 segments)**: one idea per segment. Every segment: claim → concrete demonstration or example → what it means for the viewer. Between segments, write a one-line transition that re-hooks ("that works, until this happens").
4. **The loop payoff**: deliver what you teased, where retention typically dips (about 60-70% through).
5. **Ending**: land the promise, then ONE next action. End-screen pitch to a related video beats "like and subscribe" begging.
Format: spoken-word register, contractions, short sentences, no words I'd stumble on out loud. Mark [B-ROLL: description] wherever visuals should carry the moment instead of talking. Mark [SHOW: thing] for anything better shown than said.
Use my angle and facts only. If a claim needs a number or example I didn't give, mark it [NEEDS: what] rather than inventing one.More writing prompts
