Architectural Render
Generate believable exterior and interior architectural visuals with real materials, honest light, and the human context that sells a design.
Create an architectural visualization. What it is: [BUILDING TYPE, SIZE, AND USE] Style and period: [e.g. "contemporary Scandinavian", "mid-century modern", "adaptive reuse of a brick warehouse"] Site and surroundings: [URBAN INFILL / COASTAL / FOREST / SUBURBAN STREET] Purpose of the image: [CLIENT PRESENTATION / LISTING / CONCEPT EXPLORATION / COMPETITION BOARD] Prompt: An architectural photograph of [BUILDING DESCRIPTION: form, number of storeys, roof type, the one distinctive move], [STYLE], set in [SITE AND SURROUNDINGS]. Materials, named specifically: [e.g. "board-formed concrete, blackened steel window frames, vertical cedar cladding weathered grey, bronze anodized trim"]. Each material shows its real texture and how it ages. Light: [TIME OF DAY AND WEATHER, e.g. "late afternoon, low sun raking across the facade from the left, long soft shadows, thin high cloud"]. Interior lights [on / off], reading warm against the exterior light. The lighting is consistent across every surface, with shadows falling in one direction. Camera: [EYE LEVEL / SLIGHTLY ELEVATED / DRONE], shot on a [24mm / 35mm] [tilt-shift] lens with vertical lines kept parallel, from [DISTANCE AND ANGLE: three-quarter view from the street corner]. The building occupies [PROPORTION] of the frame with [FOREGROUND ELEMENT: planting, paving, a low wall] giving depth. Context that makes it real: mature planting appropriate to [CLIMATE], [PEOPLE: two or three figures at natural scale, mid-motion, not posed], and the ordinary surroundings a real photograph would include. Photorealistic, natural color, believable contrast, no over-saturation, no lens flare, no glowing edges. Clean frame with no text, no logos, and no watermark. [INTERIOR VARIANT: replace the camera and light lines with: shot from a corner at standing eye level with a 24mm lens, daylight entering from [DIRECTION] as the dominant source, warm practicals as fill, furniture at real scale with the room lightly lived in.] Then give me two variations: one at [golden hour / dusk with interior lights dominant], and one [overcast, which shows the massing and materials most honestly].
How to use
Naming materials specifically is what separates a render from a rendering-shaped image, since 'modern facade' produces a generic glass box and 'board-formed concrete with blackened steel frames' produces something with a point of view. The overcast variation is the one to show a client who has to approve the massing, because dramatic golden-hour light flatters any form and hides exactly what they need to judge. Keep the figures small and mid-motion; posed people are the tell that reads as fake fastest.
