Google Ads Copy

Write responsive search ad headlines and descriptions that match query intent, with pinning guidance and a matching landing page check.

Write responsive search ad copy for this ad group.

Product or service: [WHAT IT IS, WHO IT IS FOR]
Ad group theme and keywords: [THE TIGHT KEYWORD SET THIS AD GROUP TARGETS]
What the searcher is trying to do: [e.g. "compare options", "buy now", "fix an urgent problem"]
Landing page: [WHAT THE PAGE ACTUALLY OFFERS AND WHAT THE PRIMARY ACTION IS]
Differentiators I can prove: [PRICE, SPEED, GUARANTEE, INTEGRATION, CREDENTIAL]
Compliance limits: [e.g. "cannot say 'best'", "must include license number", or "none"]

Produce:

1. **15 headlines**, each 30 characters or fewer. Count the characters and show the count. Cover this mix:
   - 3 that contain the core keyword as a searcher would type it
   - 3 stating a specific, provable benefit with a number
   - 3 handling the top objection (price, effort, risk, trust)
   - 3 with a direct call to action
   - 3 stating a differentiator only we can claim

2. **4 descriptions**, each 90 characters or fewer, with counts shown. Each must contain a benefit and a next step, and must read as a complete sentence on its own.

3. **Pinning plan**: which headlines to pin to position 1, which to leave unpinned, and why. Note that pinning trades reach for control, so pin only what must always appear.

4. **Message match check**: for each of the top 3 headlines, name the exact element on the landing page that delivers on it. Flag any headline that promises something the page does not visibly deliver.

5. **Extensions**: 6 sitelinks with descriptions, 8 callouts, and 3 structured snippet ideas.

Rules: no superlatives I cannot prove, no exclamation marks in more than one headline, no keyword stuffing that breaks readability. Every claim must trace to the differentiators I listed. If a compliance limit conflicts with the strongest angle, say so rather than working around it.

How to use

Character counts are where models are least reliable, so verify the top candidates by hand before uploading; a headline that overruns is silently dropped from the rotation. The message-match section is the highest-leverage part of the prompt and the one nobody runs: the most common cause of a low conversion rate on a decent click-through ad is a landing page that never repeats the promise the ad made.
