AI Search Visibility Audit

Audit whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, and AI Overviews can find, quote, and recommend you, then get a prioritized plan to fix what they cannot.

Audit my visibility in AI answer engines and give me a fix list.

Business: [WHAT YOU SELL, TO WHOM]
Category terms people use: [e.g. "invoicing software for freelancers"]
Competitors that get named instead of us: [LIST, or "unknown"]

Pages to evaluate:
"""
[PASTE THE FULL TEXT OF 1-5 KEY PAGES: homepage, a product page, your best guide]
"""

What I have already checked: [e.g. "asked ChatGPT 'best invoicing tools for freelancers' and we were not mentioned", or "nothing yet"]

Produce:

1. **Extractability review** of each pasted page:
   - Does a direct answer to the page's core question appear in a self-contained sentence, near the top? Quote the sentence that would be lifted, or state that no sentence qualifies.
   - Are the facts an answer engine needs (what it is, who it is for, what it costs, how it compares, what it does not do) stated as plain claims rather than implied by design or images?
   - Are there specific, quotable numbers, or only adjectives?
   - Would a machine reading this page alone be able to say what we are and are not good for?

2. **Entity clarity**: how consistently is the business described across the pages? List every different way we describe ourselves and pick the one to standardize on. Ambiguous or shifting self-description is the most common reason a company is not retrieved as a candidate.

3. **Question coverage gap**: list 15-25 questions a buyer in this category would ask an AI assistant, spanning problem-aware, comparison, pricing, integration, and objection stages. Mark each as COVERED (name the page) or MISSING.

4. **Prompt test set**: 10 exact prompts I should run in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Mode to measure where I stand, plus what a good result looks like for each so I can score it.

5. **Fix list**: ranked by impact over effort. For each: the change, the page, and what it should make possible that is not possible now.

Rules: base the page review only on the text I pasted. Do not assume content exists on pages I did not provide. Where you would need to see live search results to judge, say so and put it in the test set instead of guessing at it.

How to use

Being cited by an answer engine and ranking on a results page are different problems: retrieval favors pages that state facts plainly and self-containedly, and most marketing copy states them through implication and design. Run the test set in section 4 before making any changes so you have a baseline, then rerun monthly, since results here vary by day and by phrasing far more than classic rankings do. The entity-consistency finding is usually the cheapest large win.
