Product Hunt Launch Kit

Everything for a launch day in one pass: tagline, description, first comment, maker replies, and a realistic hour-by-hour plan.

Write the full launch kit for [PRODUCT] on [Product Hunt / Hacker News / Reddit / Show HN].

What it is, in one plain sentence: [NO BUZZWORDS]
Who it is for and the moment they need it: [SPECIFIC]
Why we built it: [THE REAL STORY, INCLUDING WHAT FRUSTRATED US]
What makes it different: [THE HONEST ANSWER]
What it does not do yet: [LIMITATIONS, PRICING, PLATFORM GAPS]
Pricing: [FREE, PAID, TRIAL]
Assets ready: [DEMO, SCREENSHOTS, VIDEO]
Audience we can mobilize: [EMAIL LIST, COMMUNITY, TEAM SIZE]

Produce:

1. **Tagline**: 8 options under 60 characters. Each says what it does, not how it feels. Rank them and explain the winner in one line.
2. **Description**: 3 short paragraphs. What it does, who it is for, what it does not do. The limitations paragraph is not optional; launch communities reward it and punish its absence.
3. **Maker's first comment**: 150-250 words in first person. The problem you hit, what you tried, why the existing options did not work, what you built, and one specific question for the community. No thanking everyone in advance, no emoji wall.
4. **Reply bank**: prepared responses for the 10 most likely comments, including the hostile ones: "this is just X with a wrapper", "why should I trust you with my data", "the free tier is useless", "how is this different from [obvious competitor]". Two to four sentences each, honest, not defensive.
5. **Launch day plan**: hour by hour for the first 12 hours given my audience size, covering who to notify and when, what to post where, and when to stop pushing. Be realistic about what an audience of my size can produce.
6. **Follow-up**: the post-launch update to send whatever the outcome is, in two versions, one for a strong day and one for a quiet one.

Rules: no vote solicitation or anything else against platform rules. State limitations plainly. If the product is not ready to launch based on what I described, say so and name what is missing.

How to use

The reply bank is the difference between a launch you steer and one that steers you. Comments arrive fastest in the first two hours, exactly when you are least able to write a careful answer to 'this is just a wrapper', and a defensive reply is the one screenshot that outlives the launch. Writing the quiet-day follow-up in advance is deliberate too: it is much easier to write while you are still calm about the outcome.
