Brand Voice Guide From Writing Samples

Extract a usable brand voice guide from your existing copy: traits with do/don't examples, vocabulary, and rhythm rules any writer can follow.

Analyze the writing samples below and extract a brand voice guide that another writer (or an AI) could follow to produce on-brand copy.

Samples of our writing (best, most on-brand examples):
"""
[PASTE 3-5 SAMPLES: emails, posts, web copy, the more varied the better]
"""

Build the guide with these sections:

1. **Voice summary**: our voice in one sentence, then 3-4 defining traits. For each trait, use the format: "[Trait]. We say: '[real example phrase from the samples]', we never say: '[the off-brand version]'".
2. **Vocabulary**: words and phrases we actually use (pull them from the samples), and words we avoid (corporate speak, hype words, competitor framings evident from the samples).
3. **Sentence rhythm**: typical sentence length, how we use fragments, questions, and punctuation, based on measurable patterns in the samples.
4. **How we address the reader**: you/we usage, level of formality, how we handle humor and how far it goes.
5. **Voice in hard moments**: based on the samples (or flag as [UNTESTED] if no sample covers it): how we apologize, deliver bad news, and say no.
6. **The test**: one before/after example: a generic sentence rewritten in our voice, showing 3 specific changes and why.

Rules: every claim about our voice must trace to something in the samples. Quote the evidence. If the samples are inconsistent on some dimension, say so explicitly and show both patterns; don't average them into mush. If a section can't be built from the samples provided, mark it [NEEDS MORE SAMPLES: what kind].

How to use

Feed the output back into future prompts: paste the voice guide at the top of any copywriting request and generation quality jumps immediately. Rebuild the guide every quarter or two as your copy evolves. It drifts.
